Textiles

Textiles are the youngest of the crafts I work with. They are slippery as water and sewing machines are as sentient and almost as devious as printers. I work primarily with thrifted and vintage textiles to create semi-utilitarian or decorative objects. Often but not always working by hand.

Textile work offers something tactile with restrictive bounds to bounce creativity off of. Some can only handle so much weight or tension or are so delicate they have to be handled and punctured with needles carefully.
